This essay builds upon earlier studies of the QAnon superconspiracy theory by applying cultural criminology as a framework to investigate significance and events that facilitated rise associated political movement. has had multiple impacts should be interest criminologists. In United States, was involved with 2020 election, adherents believed messages posted "Q" referred President Trump messiah tacitly acknowledged group. addition, international influence, most recently in "trucker" convoy Canada anti-vaccine protests New Zealand Germany. utilizes introduce relative deprivation emphasize importance gaze from above below structuring deprivation. we discuss role understandings victimization shaping ideology physical frameworks used QAnon.
